Scope of Work
PRIME FLEX 4611 is a stain-resistant, urethane elastomeric system designed to provide a soft walking/working surface over a variety of different substrates. Its high elongation and tensile strength allow it to bridge cracks and handle deflection and movement to a greater degree than epoxy systems. With no seams to maintain and no welds to accumulate germs, 4611 is the healthier alternative to welded sheet vinyl or vinyl tile.

Prime Flex 4611 Soft Flooring System with Flake Broadcast
The hospital sought a decorative yet highly durable and hygienic flooring finish suitable for demanding surgical and procedure room environments. To meet these requirements, Prime Coat recommended the Prime Flex 4611 Soft Flooring System with a Flake Broadcast—an ideal solution for improving ergonomics while supporting staff comfort during extended periods of standing.
Following proper substrate preparation, certified installers apply PC 101 EPOXYCOAT as the primer and lightly seed the surface to promote adhesion and build. Next, PC 620 FLEXCOAT SL is installed as the primary body coat. This flexible urethane membrane slurry provides waterproofing performance and enhanced flexibility to accommodate movement and reduce the risk of cracking.
A second body coat of PC 591 CRUCOAT FLEX is then applied and fully broadcast with the decorative flake selected by the owner, achieving the desired aesthetic while maintaining a seamless, cleanable surface profile. Once broadcast is complete, a grout coat of PC 591 is applied to encapsulate and lock in the flake. Finally, a topcoat of PC 551 MCUCOAT is installed to deliver added UV stability and superior resistance to chemicals and abrasion, helping ensure long-term performance in a clinical setting.
Ultimately, this system delivers a resilient, attractive, and easy-to-maintain surface engineered for the rigorous demands of healthcare environments.
