Overview

A manufacturing facility required a heavy-duty flooring system capable of supporting high point loads from production equipment, along with continuous forklift traffic and frequent pallet jack operation. After evaluating performance requirements, Prime Coat recommended Prime Armor 3110 for its superior compressive strength and impact resistance, making it ideally suited for demanding industrial service conditions.

To ensure optimal adhesion and long-term performance, certified installers prepared the existing concrete by shot blasting the substrate to achieve the proper surface profile and remove potential contaminants. Any cracks or surface imperfections were then patched to provide a sound, uniform base. Next, PC 101 EPOXYCOAT was applied as a primer to seal the concrete and promote strong intercoat bonding. With the substrate properly primed, PC 311 TD TREADCOAT was trowel-applied to form the system’s primary structural layer, delivering the compressive strength and impact resistance required for heavy loads and material-handling equipment. A grout coat of PC 301 GLAZECOAT SV was then applied to seal the troweled surface and enhance durability. Finally, a topcoat of PC 551 MCUCOAT was installed to provide added protection against UV exposure, chemical contact, and abrasion, ensuring a resilient finish built for high-traffic industrial environments. The result is a high-performance floor system engineered to withstand the rigors of heavy manufacturing, minimizing downtime, improving operational reliability, and protecting the facility’s investment for years to come.

If your facility is experiencing wear, impact damage, or failures under heavy traffic, contact Prime Coat today to schedule a site evaluation and receive a tailored flooring recommendation designed around your loads, traffic patterns, and performance requirements.
