Prime Guard 1610 Decorative Metallic Floor System
The brewery wanted its brewhouse room to feature a clean, eye-catching metallic aesthetic—enhancing the customer experience for guests observing the brewing process. To achieve this decorative yet durable finish, Prime Coat recommended the Prime Guard 1610 Metallic Epoxy Floor System.
Following comprehensive surface preparation, all brewing equipment was carefully masked to prevent any unintended coating application. Certified installers then applied PC 101 EPOXYCOAT to the concrete substrate, promoting optimal adhesion and chemical bonding for the subsequent layers. Once the primer coat had fully cured, the team installed PC 341 ULTRACOAT, incorporating the selected metallic pigment into the mix. The material was then spread in randomized patterns to create the desired visual movement and depth associated with a metallic floor.
To complete the system, installers applied PC 551 MCUCOAT to provide enhanced UV stability, abrasion resistance, and chemical protection. For improved safety underfoot, aluminum oxide aggregate was broadcast and backrolled into the final coat to deliver reliable slip resistance while maintaining the floor’s refined appearance. The result is a high-performance, visually striking floor that elevates the customer viewing experience while standing up to the demanding conditions of a working brewery.
